Filtering the contents of the view

Filtering a view is eliminating certain types of objects from it--for examples, media files or cyclic links. You can filter navigation, links, and structure views. If the view shows peripheral panes as well as the central pane, the filter applies only to the active pane.

Filtering is particularly useful in the central pane of links views, as a way of simplifying the view of complex sites.

To filter a view:

1 Click the Filter tab of the View Controller.

2 Select or deselect (show or hide) any combination of items in the view.
